We close the chapter on 2008 and begin with optimistic steps into 2009.

Let's start with a welcome piece of positive news. In the wake of initial challenges from bad weather and threats of disease, Wine Spectator reviews of Bordeaux 2008's finest clarets yield a pleasant surprise with an excellent turn in quality.

More silver linings are discovered as Decanter.com puts into perspective the current economic scene with some positive views and practical approaches on the wine investment scene.

On the local front, Nanyang Siang Pau interviewed our consultant, Cathy Van Zyl MW, when she was in Malaysia recently.
